Venue

While Hanoi will be the main hub, other neighboring provinces will also help host parts of the game. Athletes' villages will not be created, athletes and officials will be housed in hotels near their competition venues.

Under the initial plan, a new tennis complex was planned on the campus of the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center, and a newly renovated Hang Day Stadium will host a group for men's football. Both of these projects experienced development delays and difficulties and could not be completed on time for the games. As a result, the tennis venue was moved to a newly built private venue in Buck Ninh Province, and the Viet Tree Stadium will host a men's soccer group alongside Thien Trung Stadium in the group stage.

History of Sea Games

The Southeast Asian Games, otherwise known as the SEA Games, is a biennial multi-sport event that includes members from 11 Southeast Asian countries. The games are conducted under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee and the Asia Olympic Council in accordance with the guidelines of the Southeast Asian Games Federation.

The Southeast Asian Games is one of the five sub-regional games of the Olympic Council of Asia. Others are the Central Asian Games, the East Asian Youth Games, the South Asian Games and the West Asian Games. The Southeast Asian Games owes its starting points to the Southeast Asian Peninsular Games or SEAP Games. On 22 May 1958, representatives of the countries of the Southeast Asian peninsula met at the Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan, and agreed to establish a Games Association.
