Men's basketball teams around the world are ready for their national colors in the third window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Qualifiers from 27 June - 7 July.

This window is the last one in the first round and will determine which teams from all four regions will advance to the second round.

With so many hoops set to take place around the world, here is an indication of the one-stop-fits-all qualification. First, a summary of the eligibility process.

FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Qualifiers: Format recap

Eight teams from four regions - Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States - have six windows in a 15-month period to compete in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup co-hosted by Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines.

Although the number of teams each district will send to next year's event varies, the degree program is the same.

In the first round which is made up of three windows, the teams are divided into groups and will play everyone in their group twice, at home and abroad (with the exception of the African region that meets in two tournaments).

The top three teams in all the categories after playing all the games will advance to the second round. The winners will meet to form six teams. In the regions of Asia, Africa and the United States there will be two groups with six groups, in Europe there will be four.

Once again, countries will come together to play everyone in their team, at home or away through three windows.

In the European region, the top three teams from each team will qualify for the World Cup, which means that 12 countries will represent the continent.

In Africa, the top two teams in each group and the best third place team will win their ticket and in the United States there will be the top three teams in each group and the fourth-place team.

Having hosted the Final Phase of the World Cup, the Philippines has already won as Japan has won as a host due to its rankings. Both countries, therefore, occupy two of the seven available locations for Asia and Oceania at the event.

To join the other two host countries Indonesia must improve its position and advance to the quarterfinals of this year's FIBA Asia Cup (12 July - 24 July).

This means that only in the second window will the top three teams from the group other than the Philippines and Japan qualify for the World Cup. However, if Indonesia book a place, only a third-place team will be able to score more than the top two teams in each group.
