Paris Saint -Germain striker Lionel Messi is set to acquire a 35 percent stake in the MLS club Inter Miami and move to this team, AS reports, citing journalist Alex Kandal.
The Argentine intends to join the franchise, which is owned by David Beckham .
Messi is going to join the team in the summer of 2023. The contract has been drawn up, printed and will be signed in August. Apparently, there is already a certain agreement between Messi and Inter Miami, ”a media representative reports.
The 34-year-old finishes the 2021/2022 season at PSG. He made 33 appearances for the team, scoring 11 goals and 13 assists.
Before PSG, Messi played his entire career for the Spanish side Barcelona, and moved to the Paris team in 2021.
His contract with PSG is valid until June 30, 2023. The current transfer value is 60 million euros.
