Mineira's Liberators' Cup did not lose a record 18 matches

Atlética Mineiro's footballers stretched a series of invincibility in the Liberators' Cup in a record 18 matches. The 3: 1 win over the Ecuadorian Independiente del Valle also secured the Brazilian team a round of promotion before the end of the basic groups.

Hulk forward contributed two wins to the victory. The Brazilian national team has scored a total of nine goals for Atlético in the Liberators' Cup, and only two separate it from the club record in the number of cup hits shared by Jo and Guilherme.

Mineiro, who won the Liberators' Cup - the South American equivalent of the Champions League - only in 2013, has so far shared the record in invincibility with Flameng and Sporting Cristal from Peru.
