Going to the quarter-finals, Jessica Pegular's only pick in the top half of the Mutua Madrid Open draw. The Americans, 12th seed, beat Bianca Andrescu 7-5, 6-1 in one hour and 50 minutes in their third round fight on Tuesday.
Pegula won 51% of Canadians with 75% of his first serve points. Although both players have won less percentage points since their second serve - Pegula has won 30% and Andrescu 33%. Pegula lost his serve three times when he converted Andrescu's survey into six break points.

Teichman won about 79% of his first-serve points from 63% of Kazakh and 47% of his second-serve points followed by 33% of the latter. Rybakina's survey saved all of the six break points he encountered while converting three break points.
In the quarterfinals, Teichman will face Anhelina Kalinina. The Ukrainians upset their own goal against ninth seed Emma Radukanu in the third round. Kalinina won the game 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in two hours and 19 minutes. World No. 37 lost his serve four times but broke the servel of the 2021 US Open title list five times to tilt the match in his favor.
"Towards the end of the match, I didn't think about the score, because the intensity was high," Kalinina said after the win. I was very happy that I was able to close the match, because it was crazy in the end, there were a lot of determining points and a lot of assembly.
