UAAP Volleyball: Adamson raised the winning run to 3, beating Lady Tamarus

 MANILA - The Adamson Lady Falcons beat Far Eastern University Lady Tamraus 23-25, 25-9, 25-18, 25-18 to extend their winning streak in the UAAP Season 84 Women's Volleyball Tournament at the Asia Arena on Saturday.



The Lady Falcons bounced back from a 0-2 start to the season as they now extend their record to 3-2. Lady Tamraos, on the other hand, has lost four out of five outings.


After hiccups in the first set, Adamson dominated the next three sets, led by 17 points from Lucille Almonte and Kate Santiago, who played 14 markers in just three sets.


In the fourth frame, the Lady Falcons started the game 6-1 to set the tone.


They continue their attack after hitting a Riza Cruz through-the-block for a 12-6 break. Santiago extended their lead further to 9 after a soft injury, 20-11.


The FEU tried to come back late with a hammer in a number of powerful attacks from Julian Monares Adamson, including some mischievous 17-23.


But Turing ended the match 25-18.


Nikka Medina scored 13 for Lady Thames and Jean Assis scored 10.
