After the disappointing exit of the first Indonesia Open round earlier this month, PV Sindhu, India's top badminton singer, will be looking forward to the release at the Malaysia Open 2022, starting on Tuesday.

The only Indian players in India in the BWF Super 750 tournament, became very weak after Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth, South Africa's top-ranked men, withdrew at 11am.

The Malaysia Open will be at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur until July 3. The event returns after almost three years of suspension as plans for 2020 and 2021 have been canceled due to COVID-19.

Winner of Double Olympics and world No. 7 PV Sindhu, the seventh generation at the Malaysia Open, has a tough game.

The Indian ace will face Thailand's Pornpawee Chochuwong, currently 10th in the badminton list, at its start and could also face arch-rival Tai Tzu Ying, the world's No. 2, in the quarter-finals.

Tai Tzu Ying of China, who beat PV Sindhu in the Tokyo Olympic semi-finals last year, is a three-time defending champion of the Malaysia Open.

Apart from PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal who won a bronze medal in London in 2012 will be one of the Indians in the women's singles competition. World No. 26 has not entered the BWF event since the Thailand Open in May and will be looking forward to returning.

Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy high-profile Indian men will also be seen returning to work after crossing the Indonesian leg of the trip to control their career ahead of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, starting on July 28.

The two, who are ranked eighth in the tournament, last played in India winning the Thomas Cup, where India beat Indonesia in the final and Malaysia in the quarterfinals. Chirag-Satwik will compete against two local Man Wei Chong and Kai Wun Tee.

After world champions Kidambi Srikanth and Lakshya Sen withdrew from the tournament, India's hopes for the men's songs remain with HS Prannoy, the Indonesian semi-finalist in his final exit. Parupalli Kashyap is set to return competitively after playing in the Swiss Open in March.

The first two days of the tournament, July 28 and 29, are set aside for the first round matches. The Malaysia Open 2022 finals will be played on July 3.
